Things You Definitely DON'T Find in Nashville

Lights that only work with a room key
Pasta Happy Meals
Two options for flushing
"Tyre" Shops
Cute post office boxes
"Takeaway" restaurants
Cats roaming through the high schools
Mint Twix bars
Girl Guide Cookies
Pea, Pie, & Pud (which WAS in Nashville last night!)
Passion fruit
Women's Restroom Sign in Maori
Kiwi Fruit Tourist Attractions
Rock Graffiti
Kiwi Blue Power Ade
Bungy Jumping off country bridges

And these two are my favorites:

Clothing made from possum. Seriously... this was EVERYWHERE. And VERY expensive. I could make a fortune selling someone roadkill in my neighborhood.

Unrefrigerated eggs. They just don't refrigerate 'em.

Awesome! Please, please tell me you brought back some mint twix. I'm drooling!

Did you think chickens have refrigerated butts?

They do in America.... are you saying they don't in NZ?

Maybe at the bottom of the South Island, in the middle of winter. Otherwise, no. Chickies bums are quite warm.

If I'd known you needed to feel one while you were here ...

Oh, and about the Kiwi Blue Powerade ... Kiwi Blue is just bottled water which shares the machine with Powerade, kinda like Dasani shares machines with Coke.

Glad you posted a link in your other blog, this is great reading! Beautiful pics!

And in Switzerland, the eggs in the shops are not refrigerated either. I do put them in the fridge when I get home from shopping.
